Here is the mythical beast:

The coathanger welded to the back it to give it an overall length of 24" which is all we are allowed in the UK.

Any more ideas about the cycling?

Spoke to a gunsmith over here today and he sugested it could be the pawl? Do these need replacing periodically?

thanks

Kyle

I am no expert but I believe there are several small parts including the pawl (KH00700), pawl plunger (KH05100), and pawl plunger spring (KH05000) that might be the problem. I doubt the ratchet on the ejector is the problem. Be sure the ejector is seating all the way and there is nothing under it. It might be wise to measure the B/C gap, end-shake and head-space to see if they are within tolerances.

Ruger.com has the instruction manual or look here:

Another suggestion I have had is it put a shim in the center rod so that the cylinder is pushed rearwards more.

There is very slight forward/backwards motion in the cylinder when in battery. Maybe .1-.2mm

delete, I'm slow on the draw. You know like coming out of the holster with a really super Redhawk...

I bet the 21" models must weigh a "tonne"... ;o)
