I was asked in another thread to post a few pictures of my Light Weight Single Six so I'll do so here. The Ruger was purchased by my Father on 11-30-57 for $63.15 so the receipt says. I think he said he paid $10.00 or so for the Ivory stocks from Ruger soon after buying the Single Six. I grew up shooting this Ruger and still enjoy shooting it every now and again. Please excuse the poor pictures.

Very nice and I imagine that there are a lot of memories associated with that gun.

Very nice gun and box! Can you post a picture of the back of the ivory grips? You just don't see original ivory grips that often.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful old Lightweight Single-Six!

One just doesn't see them very often and to see one with its' original box and Factory Ivory grips is stunning!

Wow!

We have in common owning our father's SS. A beautiful OM you have! Maybe my dad overpaid two years before your father purchased his, but I know his (non-OEM) Sambar stag grips were purchased same day. I think the receipt reflects combined cost. Ah, the good old days!

(edited to add add'l images at OP's request)

Normally I wouldn't clutter an OP's thread with my own pictures, but since you asked I added a few to my prior post!
This gun lived its entire life in the Clark holster pictured in the last image, thus the finish isn't perfect but still quite good for 54+ years.

Very good stuff shown here! Provenance, especially when "from the Family" is wonderful!!!

Thanks for sharing, Gentlemen!
