Not a revolver but this ad caught my attention back in1961. I went to the hardware store in Kennebunk, Maine and ordered it sight unseen. I really liked that little carbine.

I've seen displays, where the ad was enlarged, and the display duplicated the ad with the guns & stuff. The enlarged ad was done to match the physical gun(s) and then were put over the picture. Long ago, a great collector Roger Dorsett did one heck of a BIG display of several ads & guns. Very impressive.

This is VERY interesting! I noticed that the ad does not include the .357 Mag caliber. I bought my 6.5" Ruger .357 MAG Blackhawk in 1965, and I think I paid something like $85. I still own that gun!

I also noticed that the .44 MAG unit is a 3 screw gun, just as mine is, although I had Ruger upgrade it about 10 years ago, which they did for free. So, now I can carry a full load of 6 cartridges without fear of it going off.

Cool ad, Paladin. I like the ad from the 50's with the cougar (bear?) in a tree and a guy thumbing back the hammer on a shorty Flattop .357 with his finger on the trigger.

I didn't get to see Kelly sit in front of Roger's display. But I do think you are correct in that it was at a NRA Convention. I recall the discussion about that.

His display was truly an EXCELLENT one to view.
