I have been meaning to post this for a while. I was in a pawn shop several months back when I spotted what appeared to be a Mark I Standard .22 LR in nice shape. When it came out of the case for me to inspect I noticed that it was in almost new condition. I'm not sure if the Original pistols were all marked MK. I or not, or if this is a "pre-mark I" if such a think exists, but based on its serial number Ruger said its from 1973. So am I, so that makes us the same age. It was $180 plus tax.

Back in 1973 if my memory serves correct the only one called a Mk I was the target model with adjsutable sights. Yours was called the Standard Model.

I got my first Std Model in 1977 soon as I turned 21!

No telling how many rounds that one was fed before being traded for a 10" Stainless MK II.

It looks like new hope you enjoy it.
