I took my Ruger Old Army to the range and swapped out the black powder cylinder for a Taylor's Cartridge Conversion Cylinder in .45 Colt (lead bullet/aprox 900 fps). What a fun gun to shoot! I was only planning on shooting a few rounds just to see how the cylinder conversion worked. Instead I fired all 100 rounds of my reloads! The cylinder conversion worked great!

Many folks have found they enjoy the conversion cylinders in their Old Army revolvers.
So,, are you reloading some more to go back out & shoot more?

They are a hoot to shoot! I have 5 ROA's and Taylor's and Kirst cylinders for each and 45acp along with 45 colt with the Kirst's. The same with 4 Uberti 1858's 45 colt and acp. It's game changer. Planning on thinning the herd overall but at least a couple of ROA's and a Uberti 1858 will remain.

My curiosity is stirred. I note that there are several of these available, such as the ones mentioned above. I'd be interested to see further experiences with these, as well as with other models available. Sounds like fun.
