Ruger No1V, 220 Swift, barrel length

The ones I have seen are all 26". Was there a 24" version offered by Ruger?

During spring woodchuck season my truck gun is a No.1V in 220 Swift. This rifle has a 24" barrel. I purchased the rifle used and suppose it could have been cut down but I doubt it.

The 220 #1V Swift has always been listed since cataloged, as 26."

I don't know of any non cataloged Swifts so it's highly unlikely there are
any factory with shorter barrels.

I know that I recently mis spoke and posted 24" for the Swift but I'm old a forgetful and wrong.

As a overbore cartridge the Swift works best with heavy charges of slow burning powder, hence a longer barrel.
