Trying to figure out a value of a Ruger no.1 I have. It is a new in Box Ruger #1 Sporter 22" barrel chambered in 45/70.

This is a special addition for Federals 100year anniversary.

Thanks for any help folks... Got someone interested, but not for sure what to ask.

For extra collectibility above that of a standard Number 1, need to figure out if this is a Ruger factory release or an after-market customization. And if it is a factory release, how many were done?

Wow sure is a beauty. My book says Ruger made the No. 1-S chambered in 45-70. Yours looks like a real collector one with the Federal engraving. Wish I had more to offer but my book is a few years old. Value should be high I would think. Nice to see for sure.

I have no idea the year... I assume last year. As I received it this year. I will see if I can find that magazine locally. Thanks

Can you send me the info you sent me in the PM's again please? I'm not good at looking at PM's here on Rugerforum and I looked at the message once, now its gone.

I was told that they did up 27 in that caliber.... I have #4...
Nice! Still looking for some kind of advertisement from Federal that they had a contest on these.
It doesn't help that Ruger doesn't have the serial numbers logged into their serial number lookup page.
I do know that the model number is 21336.

Wait a second... that insinuates that there are other models/calibers in this Federal Cartridge commemorative???

No, they were only offered in 45-70 caliber.

They didn't have a contest, they were offered to Federal Employees at a certain cost. I found out from a reliable source that only 27 employees ordered the Ruger No. 1.

I have a flyer somewhere...
