Does anyone know of a company that rebarrels No.1's?

I was thinking about getting a Ruger No.1 RSI in either 30.06 or 270 (which ever I could get cheaper), then have it rebarreled for either 308 or 30-30.

What (other than replace the barrel), would have to be done to make the Ruger No.1 shoot either the 308 or 30-30 (whatever I decide on)?

I like the RSI, but the tought of yet another caliber in my collection of many calibers already seems slightly depressing. As I reload for 308 and 30-30 already, those are the two calibers that tempt me the most. I also think that if I go with the 308, I will go with the 1:10 twist to shoot the heavier bullets.

Below is the only company that I found that seems to specialize in the No.1 at all. Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks,

No matter how hard you try you can't make a .308 into a 30-06. If it was me and I picked up a No.1 in 30-06 I would leave it alone. You can shoot 240gr Woodleigh core bullets out of a 30-06. Thats about as heavy as you can get. You won't be able to take tanks out but pretty close.
