Has anyone here made or seen or handled or ever shot a No.1 in 44mag? I'm
In the process of building one and wanted to know of anyone else did this.... Thanks.

No, but I do have .41 mag in a 1H profile. It was already built when I go it.

I figure it will make a good pistol caliber deer rifle once suburban sprawl closes my hunting grounds to high power rifles.

I would like to hear about your project. You could easily get away with a more trimmed down #1 than mine.

Can you send me pics. Or post some.

Barrel
Length? Who did the work?
Did you use an existing 1H barrel and have it bored out?
Or a new barrel?

Shooter.

It was already built when I bought it and I do not who did the work.

PM me your inet address and I'll send some picts. I can't post here them here.

I suppose a person could take a #3 in .44 Mag. and put #1 parts on it.

Wanted the same thing, looked at the prices of No 3's in 44 Mag and decided what I needed was a No 1 in 460 S&W. Had to "adjust" my reloading and buy dies and components. It digests 44 Colt, 454 Casull, and 460 S&W Mag.

Working on loads, and pretty darn happy with it.

Has a New England Gunsmithing rear peep site and fiber optic front sight, that can be changed to ivory or brass. Great "little" gun :)
