Ruger MKIII Grip Mods-POLL

Please vote on you opinion of change in resale value of
Ruger MarkIII if grip modifications are made. At present
I consider my 3 yr old to be at 99%. I am not concerned
about becoming a collectors item, I just do not want to
greatly de-value the pistol in case I decide to trade or
sell in future. In my opinion it helps the pistol with a much
better grip. The biggest disadvantage I found is the extra
width makes it more difficult to reach the bolt lock/release
& mag button with your thumb. If there were extended
versions of those available it would be great!

New grips that will require drilling handle.

I could stick them on with double face tape however I don't like that idea.

I voted no. I have the 22/45 MKIII and don't see it becoming a collectors item. Doesn't mean I don't like it or that it's not a great little gun, especially once it's been delawyerized.

You can use contact tape or cement if you don't want to drill holes in the frame.

Volquartsen makes a stainless extended mag release button for the MKIII (VC3MR $22.95) and an extended bolt release for appox $10...
I'm not sure if anyone else does...

Bill, thanks for the info. I bought the MKIII NIB never fired from a friend. I did not realize how many aftermarket parts were available for the MKIII. I will be making several mods in the near future. I love to shoot this pistol!
