Does anyone know if they made these? Blue, with the 6.875 slabside barrel? If so, how rare? Would like one to go with my Stainles model.

They made them in 22/45 but I think all the Mark II Comp Targets were stainless.

I started to post the link to rimfirecentral whe I saw you had already started a thread over there.

I have only seen photos on the 'net, and very few of those...

PS Welcome to Rugerforum!

Chet might have some numbers for you, or the RENE would likely list known serial number ranges.

they do exist! i have one, model 0178 MK678GC # 225-0523X I think Lipsey had them ,mine was made 06/07/2002 its cool!__bedrockfred

According to the RENE, there were 991 shipped in 1996 and a second run in 2002-2003 of 739 guns for a total of 1730 produced.

I have a 6 7/8" Competition Target 22/45 - blued that I bought NIB in 1997. Flat-sided barrel. It's twin is the 22/45 Great Eight with the extra 1.125" of steel.
Both have the target trigger and both were Davidson's specials.

Dandy pistols for headshots felling the big Aberts' squirrels from the Pondersoa pines.
Neither came with the scope mount & rings, even if Ruger's catalog stated clearly that "All Competition Target Models come with mount and Ruger scope rings."
