Only recently I notice that the mags I have that have only chrome bottom plates (not the plastic, grey ones with the Ruger emblem) "hang up" at the last point as I push them into the bottom of the grip. If I jiggle them slightly, I can get them in. Something seems to be hanging them up and I cannot quite makeout a difference from the plastic bottom ones, which go in smoothly. Anyone else had such a problem? I assume the chrome bottom ones are "originals".

one of two things may happen, the 'bottom, may be loose, or have a gap in bewteen ,where it joins OR the edge ( lip) of the magazine release is too sharp and can and will "catch" in this gap....need to take a file and "break" the top, inside edge of the magaizne 'catch', so it does NOT "catch' the gap/space.........we've seen folks put a dab of epoxy or JB weld in this gap to "eliminate" the gap....this does work, but doesn't look "as neat"......
