Just in case anyone is interested, at Kames Sports Center,
in North Canton Ohio, they have 3 or 4 of these pistols, NIB, for $499.00.

(NOTE - if you check their website the price is listed as $799.99
but on the gun inside the display case it is crossed out and shown
as $499.99)

Rocdoc - that IS what it says on the web page but the sale sign in the display case says $499.99 and has $799.99 crossed off.
I will try to modify my post to reflect that.

Call them and ask for the gun dept. they will tell you.
Tomorrow the dept manager, Steve Brockway, should be in.
Ask for Steve and he will help you out he has been working there
for more than 20 years.

Back about 25 or 30 years ago at a gunshow in Portland Oregon I had a chance to buy one from a ex Ruger employee for $400.00, but I didn't. If I remember right it had a wooden box with a cardboard inside that. The lid on the wooden box was broke in half. The man selling it was very upset that he had recently been retired by Ruger. I did buy some misc Ruger items from him. Some of the items were white cigarette lighters with Ruger logos on them. Should have bought that pistol.
