I ran my Max 9 through its paces today. Very happy with it and plan after a few more range trips to carry it. Zero malfunctions and very good groupings. Shooting low but we can deal with that. While at the range I pulled my SR9c from its appendix holster and almost aced the TDA Dot Torture drill. How I wish Ruger would consider making an updated SR9c/SR as it is a great shooting pistol which I feel is very underrated.

The Max 9 is a nice gun.

I've always enjoyed my SR9. I feel it was "retired" too soon.
Same here. I bought four of the SR series (an SR45 and three SR9). The last SR9 I bought on a 2019 closeout at Sportsmans Warehouse for $249.99:
It serves as my nightstand gun, the others were gifted to my sons.

I picked mine up yesterday. I stripped it down cleaned and oiled it and mounted the Crimson Trace. I have the new one 1800 series not the 1550. I put 150rnds through it today zeroing everything and running some drills. The plus 2" rested at 25yds in about 6 seconds 8" offhand 3 second 5 shot groups. The bad light strikes on everything. I had 3 ftf with different loads. Even the ones that fired had more of a smudge than a solid dent. I fired a few through my P11 and they were solidly imprinted. I have a holster on the way but I'll be making a carved leather that can do shoulder, OWB and cargo pocket duty.
