Hey gang, recently bought a LCR (2 years old, 38 special) and while at the range yesterday had acouple of light firing pin strikes.. I disassembled the revolver this am and discovered a small firing pin size divot on the transfer bar (Item 12 in parts) about .010 deep.. Anyone else notice this OR maybe this is Normal? Can't call Ruger they're closed so thought I would ask.. Thanks in advance for your comments..

I would consider something .001" deep to be more like a scratch or mark as opposed to divot but having said that I never noticed any marks like that on my various ruger transfer bars.

Sorry typo, (fixed it) should have read .010 deep.. It is a divot and perfectly circular (where it contacts the firing pin) as if the part had not been hardened..

**UPDATE** Called Ruger CS this morning and the CS Lady said that the part number shown in the manual seems to be incorrect.. She had to check with a Gunsmith so she would call me back when they came back from lunch, sure enough an hour later she was on the phone with 2 new parts on the way.. **Great CS**..
