Im new to this forum and want to say hello to ya'll. I just got this revolver and would like to know which none stock grips are the best for length and comfort but a speed loader will work with?

Welcome to the Forum!

There isn't a large selection of different grips for the LCR. But as with any grips/gun combo,, I tell people that they must fit YOUR hands. And if you want to use a speed loader,, you have to do one of two things. Take that into consideration prior to changing grips,, or get a set & modify them to allow easier speed loader use.

Some good advise, ty. I found several wood grips on Badgers Custom grips that I like. I may get a set and possibly some G10 grips from Hogue.

If you do decide to get a different set of grips,, I'd try & go to a store that actually stocks the grips so you can put your hands around them and see how they feel to YOU & in YOUR hands.

No place around here fir doing that, I wish there was. I'm in Central Kansas things are pretty sparce here but it is a great suggestion. I usually have good experiences with Hogue grips for G10 grips and I have bought from Badger Custom grips before. Still weighing out my decisions.

Too bad. It really helps a person to make sure of something prior to a purchase.

You mention central Kansas. Anywhere near Salina?

Welcome to the forum. I really like the factory grip. I tried the boot grip and the Delta grip but the factory grip is perfect for my medium hands. I could never get a grip I liked for a Kimber K6S I had and sold it.

I agree with Jim W.
So much so that I sold my 357 and bought the 38 Special model. It is lighter with the polymer v steel frame and mild 38s for range practice are a piece of cake now.

Just ordered another set of these.

One question, what is the hook for? And thank you for responding. Are they longer then the stock grip

Thank you for your feedback. I have huge mitts and I usually need a longer and bigger around. Usually Hogue grips work and I have to check out the G10 grips. I am checking into Badger Custom boot grips.

I remember years ago, I had tried out every grip for the LCR. Then I saw a article about the Bantam Boot grip. The author stated that he found the bantam and although he had big hands, this grip actually shot better. I tried the same thing and Bingo felt perfect. No I have the Hamre on the Smith and love it. The tuck does two things One, easy to tuck into pants and go. Which goes along with the Snubby of being so SIMPLE and EASY to carry and two for me, which I have a size large Hand and have long fingers the Tuck that sticks out actually give me better trigger control.

About the boot grip.
This is a gun designed for concealed carry and for an emergency usage to save your life.
It's not a range gun.

If a fella has to use it in a heart pounding life saving situation I believe the grip size and felt recoil will be the last of your worries. Heck, many ~ even experienced shooters ~ don't accurately remember how many rounds they fired in a SHTF scenario.
