I have just received my third magazine loader…and none of them work. The 380max magazine becomes a double stack pretty quickly. None of the three is big enough to fit over the double stack portion of the magazine, making them useless. Anyone have a recommendation for me?

Have you tried an Uplula loader? Works fine on my Max...And about 95% of all my other centerfire pistol magazines as well.

Well, color me stupid…after the replies above, I thought I'd better check the dang box the pistol had come in…the one I had tucked away in my closet, and there it was….a factory supplied mag loader. Hallelujah, and yes it works. Thanks for the help.

What's the Maglula PN? All I can find is the one for single stack .380, which I bought by mistake. 😕

Their web site doesn't show a double stack 380 loader. The ONE they have clearly states single stack.
Ruger has them …. Link in post 3.

Right, that's why I was asking Bull's Eye for the PN of the one that works with an LCP Max

Holy cow ….. Ruger's is 3 times LESS than Maglula …. Know they're not the exact same loader but still …..

That's frustrating! I'd recommend trying the Maglula Uplula loader. It's designed for both single and double-stack mags, and it works great with .380s. Should solve the issue you're having with the double stack.

Nope...They're not at all the same.
The Uplula is a mechanical loader that does all the work for you.
The one you linked is just a piece of molded plastic, that pushes a round in and holds it down while you manually insert another.
If you're loading a lot of magazines during a range session, you'll quickly appreciate the difference. And recognize that avoiding sore thumbs with the Uplula loader is well worth the price! 👍

Bought mine from Midway USA 4-5 years ago...
Ah, ok, thought maybe you were talking about that one. I have a couple of those, but didn't seem to work right with my LCP Max mags.
Guess I'll fiddle with it and see if I can get it to work as well as it does for 9mm and .45.

Cheers,
Tom
