I have a chance to pick up a barely used like new Match Champion with a fixed rear sight...
Wondering how this handles .357mags vs. the standard GP-100? Also if you have one...what are your opinions on this revolver. I plan on using it for frequent target practice, and field carry...poss. deer hunting should that ideal 20-30yd. shot present itself! BTW...asking price is $600....!
Very much appreciated, Qd

Yea, I've been looking at those, and also, the Galco "Phoenix" (which is suede lined)...
Thanks

I recommend the standard Bianchi leather belt holster. I so wish Ruger would put a half lug barrel on the standard adjustable sight GP.

-- Well, they kind of do; the Match Champion is now available with adjustable sights (just in case you weren't yet aware). But you would have to put up with a slabside barrel, tapered cylinder, and better trigger. :D
