I just wanted to give an update about my most recent couple of calls to Ruger.

A little while back I had purchased a used single nine with issues. I called Ruger, got an RMA, shipped it back on my dime due to its age. Few weeks later I got it back and it shoots very well. I'm very happy with it. Turns out it was a bad pawl, which I could have fixed myself but I figured since I just got it there was no telling what else could be wrong with it so I sent it back.

Two weekends ago I shot in a match using my AR-556. I wondered why I was doing so poorly (considering this was offhand with iron sights at various ranges up to 200 yards, I didn't wonder about it that much 😄). Last weekend I got it out to shoot again before I cleaned it and I realized that the rear sight mounting screw nut was gone and the rear sight was just wobbling around. 😐
I tried to locate a nut that would work and I was unable to so I called today about getting one. I was told they don't individual parts but they were more than happy to send me a new complete rear sight. I asked, are you sure? Because I'm the nut that lost the nut. They said yep no problem, it's on the way.
Needless to say I'm very pleased. It's nice to see good customer service still exists.

I've had to use Ruger's customer service a couple of times in the past. I don't know how many people work in that department or who runs it, but the one's that I've dealt with were very good at what they do.
