Ruger Charger question

I really have been eyeballing one of these handguns, but I am not sure if they are legal to own in New York State. Anyone here from NY and own a Charger??

I think they are okay in NY... but an easy way to find out is go to or call your local gun store and tell them you want to order one.
You'll find out real quick.

They are not legal in NY. Due to the NY State (cloned Federal) assault weapons ban, no handgun can weigh over 50oz. The Charger weighs 3.5 lbs or 56oz.
