Greetings!

I have run across a Ruger Blackhawk Carryhawk .45 Colt/.45 ACP convertible. This was a limited edition Talo model. I don't know how many were made.

It's used and looks to be in excellent condition. The bore (and probably cylinder) needs a good scrubbing but other than that I don't see a blemish.

I don't know how to establish a fair value.

What is it worth?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks! Certainly not a need, but definitely a want. In the end, price is an object.

In today's market everything is hard to find and when you do, usually a lot of money. I think the $1000 is the ballpark.

This very gun (Carry Hawk) inspired me to build my own a few years back, using a mid-frame flattop, Montado Hammer, #5 Base Pin and a few custom additions.

Never heard of that one before. I don't see the name Carry Hawk stamped on the frame. Was it listed on the original box as such. Or is it just a nickname that stuck with that particular gun with the birdshead grip? What is the barrel length? 3 3/4" or 4 "?

IMO it is not worth 1,000 as someone has posted, at least not to me.
If it were me I'd offer 700.00 IF it's new in box! If you got in the 1,000. oo
range there are all kinds of goodies out there. If I had a 1000.00 to
blow I'd look around a bit! Maybe a Nice 45acp Your dime enjoy! ps

They say 4" but they are really 4.6"Barrels.

Here is the Lipsey's Web Link. All the details are there.

We talked about this a couple years ago...

Then, as now, I think this revolver is a great offering. It has a lot going for it, for a soft-puffer chambering.
-Medium Frame
-Birdshead grip
-Adjustable Sights

I agree it should fetch $1000+ .

I have a New Vaquero Birdshead chambered in .45 ACP. It's probably the nicest shooting SA Ruger I own. Adjustable sights and a slightly longer barrel would be well-bought icing.

I think this gun (Talo Wiley Clapp Carry Hawk) is a full size Blackhawk frame… SN# prefix is a 2 digit. (38)

I have a Vaquero 3.6" full size and while it is one of my favorites when I built the 45/45ACP into a "Carry Hawk" I wanted to do it on the medium frame flattop.
