One more question folks.
I bought a left hand safety
for the 44 carbine and the instructions
say to "cock hammer, turn safety
counter clockwise 1/2 turn and press the new
safety against the head of the existing safety
pressing it out.
Is this correct?
I've swapped a lot of Remington safeties
and always ahd to remove spring and ball
or plunger before removing the safety.
Thanks-Ron

rong, The safety does in fact have a plunger and spring and is removed to the "left" near the "end" of the disassembly of the trigger group housing on the Model 44 Carbine. The .44 Deerfield carbine has a different procedure.......................Dick
