Ruger Brass Frane

I have two Ruger Brass frames, on is Old Army S/N 140-06739 and super Blackhawk S/N 80-04516 at the grip frame have casting # MR-3DB.
Are these aftermarket or original Ruger grip frames?> Please help.

Those are factory built grip frames as noted above.
I'd spend the $10 each to get a factory letter to see if they SHIPPED with the brass grip frames. It does make a difference.

I sent in for the letter, I hope both of them came with it. Thank you for advising from "contender".

The Super seems unlikely to letter, the factory ones are higher SN's than that. Dougan's Ruger Pistols & Revolvers book has a more extensive list and it isn't in that list either. Earliest listed prefixed number is 80-28741. All the prefixed brass frame Supers listed were 1972 guns. Your gun is likely from 1969.
