Here's the ad - worth it? $1500 CDN is about $1200 US:

"Pair of unfired, sequential serial Ruger Blackhawks in .30 Carbine from 1980
This is a specially order pair of 7 1/2 inch Ruger New Model Blackhawk revolvers in .30 US Carbine calibre that were manufactured in 1980. They are sequentially serial numbered, in factory condition and unfired outside the factory. They come with manufacturers boxes, plastic bags, paperwork etc. 36 years old. A letter from Ruger to the original owner dated 1979 advises him how to make the order. A rare set. $1500 plus shipping"

In 1980,,, those guns will not be 1, 2, or 3 digit guns.

At $1200 American, it's not too bad,,, IF you want a consecutive pair. I'd see if I couldn't get it down to $1000 American though.

Good morning Mike. A friend called and wanted to buy those and split them up. My opinion was that I wasn't interested for three reasons....the billboard warning... the fact they are new models and also that they are so nice it would be heresy to shoot them. They are also not the most desireable caliber although they have a following. BUT.....very very nice and complete package for a collector.

JMHO but the only real appeal is the consecutive numbers. The "number collectors" would likely give this pair a serious look.

Otherwise, they are "just" New Models, although the .30 Carbine is a not-so-common chambering.

Nice guns, but not a "super special rare" offering.

Again, JMHO.

:)
