Ruger early 1959 production, #15441 with 6 1/2" barrel. Light blueing wear on left front edge of barrel, some loss on front edges of cylinder. Turn ring very evident on cylinder. Grip frame appears darker blueing than rest of frame. Beautiful stag grips that I have been told are aftermarket and not Ruger factory because of flat cut on bottom edge. Medallians appear to have been staked properly like factroy. They look very good to me. Hammer appears to have been jeweled. Very nice Type 3 Flattop 44 Magnum.

Sometimes I see guns advertised that I can tell are converted, but the ad doesn't mention that fact. And when those are auction guns that get bid up to collector grade price, I can only imagine that the buyers are disappointed when they receive those guns, only to find the transfer bar safety...
