Dumb question... will these fit a New Vaquero? Midway's description says "Bisley Vaquero (Large Frame)".When I see "large frame", I think of the two digit prefix Blackhawks and Vaqueros not the smaller New Vaquero or three digit prefix frames.

Much confusion surrounds the Ruger Single Action Grip Frames. Lucky for us, Boge Quinn has graciously allowed us to "link" a page from their gunblast.com web site. https://www.gunblast.com/Hamm_Ruger-SA-GripFrames.htm

If you go to the revolver section I think it may become more clear. I'm no expert though for sure on the wheel guns.
Yes, that should fit the new mid frames. It will take a lot of fitting to get the sides and back to match up and flow smoothly. I have fit super Blackhawk Hunter gripframes to New Vaqueros and OM Single Sixes. That's about the same amount of fitting.
Super Hunter on New Vaquero.
Bisley on Blackhawk, just to illustrate fit by hammer.
I'm a little late here,, but the short answer is,, YES. ALL of Ruger SA grip frames have the same 5 screw hole pattern. All will bolt right on.
HOWEVER,, older grip frames will have internal "ears" that go into "slots" in the main frame that were used to potentially stabilize the 2 parts together. Ruger did away with the slots & the ears on later frames.
