Ruger American Bolts 22Lr VS 22 Mag, Difference?

I am new to this forum but not new to shooting. I have both a Ruger American 22 LR and a Ruger 22 Mag both bolt action. I see no difference between the bolts, in fact I have used them interchangeably.

Is there any difference? If what? I see the LR bolt bottom has a small recess milled out. Other than that What is the difference?
