Ruger American .45 breakdown issues

Brand new gun, just fired 50 rounds. The breakdown lever WILL NOT depress clockwise to the vertical position. it stops hard at the 5 o'clock position. Will not go any further. Any advice

Are you locking the slide open to the rear with magazine removed ? If you are, it may need to go back to Ruger.

Yes, indeed, I have ! (Many yrs exp.) It's in the hands of a technician as I write. I don't think it's repairable. It seems to be a burr that allowed it to be assembled but is preventing it to be disassembled.

I just got the weapon back, they replaced the sear connector and spring...no explanation on how they can go bad tho..
