Ruger 77 all weather 7.62x39, shot a maybe 20 times with winchester 7.62x39 ammo
bought in 1991, was only available from Davidson Wholesaler.
synthetic stock w/stainless steel barrel and simmons scope. I'm looking for
someone who may have an idea of a value for this. I'd like to sell it and not
sure of a price before I talk with licensed dealers about selling on consignment for me.
I've written down in a old magazine the "S.W.A.T. February 1993" issue where the rifle
is written about on page 41 that only 5000 were made. I can't verify thats the correct amount of
rifles made. Anyone know what this would be worth roughly? Its the same rifle that

ok, that gives me something to look at. I was hoping a bit more since so few were made.
I just don't shoot as much as I use to and am looking for something else. Thought I'd
unload this one before getting another.

Thank you, much appreciated

That cartridge, for a deer rifle is very under rated. Very easy shooting, and closely formidable to the .30-30. Thing is, decent ammo can be quite expensive.

Selling such a package to somebody just looking for a deer rifle will not bear much fruit. You've gotta find somebody looking for this particularly scarce gun, or somebody particularly looking for this gun, chambered specifically for this cartridge. And there's something to be said for the wow factor. A bird in the hand can command quite a premium to someone like me that's been known to pay too much for a gun, just because it's here and now.

@Heliman (from this forum) and I have spent a lot of time shooting this cartridge in various bolt guns and semi autos. Once a feller gets past the Rooshkie ammo and takes it seriously, this chambering can give unbelievable accuracy, even from a cheapo Ruger American Ranch Rifle. The KM77 version is twice the gun, so easily worth to me, twice the price.

I just have not shot it in a long time. I'd kinda like to get rid of it and then again I kinda think maybe not.
I love loading for 7.62x39 and it's a wonderful plinking and teaching caliber.

Cast bullets with small charges of Unique or Red Dot are effective on targets and small game out to 75 or so yards. Lots of fun, lots of cheap.
