Ruger .204?

I have been offered a brand new (old stock?) unused Ruger .204 at about half the MSRP or less (which is still a lot by my standards). It fits as sort of an in between to my .17hmr and my .22/250. I know it has a nice flat high velocity trajectory and really accurate. I also know that it is considered a bit of a barrel burner. I would greatly appreciate any experiences anyone has had with them being shared. Thanks in advance for your help.

"Barrel burner"? This really only applies if sitting on a prairie dog town blasting continually or sitting at the bench being imprudent.
