I see the Lott has been dropped from the No 1 int he 2010 catalog. They now list only three calibers, none of which I would rate as "tropical". Sure wish I could figure out Ruger.

Interesting as I always wondered the real value of large bore dangerous game calibers in a single shot? I wouldn't chase a cape buffalo with one. Just my $.02 of course.

If I had the money, I would consider a Cape Buff hunt with a No 1 in a 458 Lott. You are always going to have a PH with you if need be. Don't know, I guess thats what makes the whole dangerous game hunt even more dangerous.
