Picked mine up a couple days ago. NIB. Thinking 0.480" Hornady Lead round balls might be a fun plinking round. Have not bought any accessories for it yet.
Don't know how many were made but mine sat with no interest on a stores gun rack for almost a year before I rescued it.

What i have been able to determine is that these were produced somewhere around 2010 or so. Mine was only shot 20 times according to the seller and he purchased it new 3 years ago . Luckily mine came with dies, brass powder, cast bullets and 80 loaded rounds. Just need to take it out and shoot it.

I found some ammo, Hornady jacketed. I'm just not sure I want to shoot jacketed in it yet. Might go cast or paper patch.

just not many folks posting about Ruger #1 475 Linebaughs anywhere! Mine is still unfired. I did pick up 10 rounds of new Hornady factory ammo today....given to me from a LGS that had them and transferred pistol owner did not want the expense of shipping ammo with a gun. I now have something to shoot!
Is ANYONE ANYWHERE owning/shooting one of these??

I have one and use it to hunt deer. I topped it off with a 1.5x5 Leopold. I purchased dies when I got the gun in 2010, but have yet to load for it. A LGS ordered 10 boxes of Hornady 480 Ruger 325gr and 5 boxes of Hornady 475 Linebaugh 400gr which was never picked up. I got a great deal on all of it. I have mainly shot the 325gr, because I have plenty, but they both will thump a deer real nice and make a big hole all the way through. I live in Virginia our deer are not huge. It is a great short range gun. In my opinion with the right load you can take everything from mice to mastodons with it.

Hornady 475 LB ammo is $38/20 here. Thinking dies and brass and cast lead from a lead bullet maker if I keep this rifle.

I paid a little more than half of that price. I would be reloading if I had to pay todays prices.
