I have a Ruger #1 (1B) Serial # 130 39154 "Made in the 200th Year of Liberty" edition.
Chambered in 243. It came with a Leopold M8-6X scope.
The rifle has never been fired and I am trying to find an "approximate" value.
I am the original owner.

$500 - $750

Thre "B" is the most common configuration. The 243 is one of the most common calibers. All 1976 guns are maked that way and with few ecxeptsion aren't particularly rare. The market is flooded right now with #1s, especially "commons". The scope gives you some added value which is why I put in a price at the top to reflect the value of the scope.

Fixie: There are a ton of #1s out there that are priced appreciably higher. Once you get past the $750 price point it really needs to be something special, uncommon or rare to start bringing the $800 - $1200 price tag.

Lots of common caliber and configurations sit at $800 for a very very long time. Sadly the "B" and the 243 are common and the 200 Year marking might add $50 at best.

I'm interested in your Model #1 243. Do you have any photos of the gun. Does it have the heavy varment barrel?

Denver: Good Try!! ;-)

The oh so few #1"V"s in 243 were made in 1982 - 1984 all know examples are in the 132-5xxxx to 6xxxx range with the majority in the 5XXXX range.

The 243 "V" is second only to the the 280 Remington in the cataloged "V"s in rarity.

Sorry, just a novice as far as Rugers go. So I guess the gun is with a standard barrel. Still interested.
