well it's finally finished. No more crawling up the stock to get a full sight picture, no more searching for $65-$70 offset rings that still don't solve the problem. No drilling, no tapping, just unscrew the rear 3 screws in the quarter rib and use the screws provided to mount this right on the quarter rib. The bottom is cut out to fit right over the rib, and it gives me 1 3/4" to 2" rearward , depending on the scope. I tried it yesterday, what a difference! Check out the pictures.
On my 300 win mag, these pics compare regular ruger rings and my mount with weaver rings. I have almost 2 inches rearward position.
this is my 22-250, compare the scope position with the Ruger offset rings and regular rings on my mount. This puts me 1 1/2 in closer to the scope.
