I purposefully collect Ruger #1's in .223 caliber and 7.62x39mm. My question is, is there a source or listing of what models they were produced in, i.e., 1A, 1AB, 1B, etc.?

Here is the best site I've found. He's got all the calibers listed but not broken down into model. http://www.classicsportingarms.com/1-caliber-list/ might also post your ? here https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/RUGER-1/info
I've been looking for a red pad 1V in 223 so I can shoot what I already reload.

Thanks SingleSixer, here's a link for a look at a red pad, unfortunately they don't say if its a 1B or a V http://www.gunsamerica.com/906571603/Ruger-No-1-Red-Pad-in-223-Remington-near-ne.htm

Since it has a quarter-rib and slender 26" barrel, it's a B

I prefer Blue & Walnut. But I may end up with one of these http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=RUK1V223 It would fill 2 holes in the collection 1V and .223. It would also more importantly help support keeping the No1 alive.

I've got one on order should they ever make them. I question the 1:8 with a 223 due to case capacity. I suspect mine will turn into a 22-250AI or 22-6mmAI right after it shows up, if ever. I don't have an "A" but then I never wanted one. I do have the AB, B and two V's an older one with the slow twist barrel and a 134- with the 1:9.

No 7.62-39 either.

I know how Lipseys could sell out a pair 250 runs of #1s in a week or two: come out with another K1a edition, and commission a NEW line of K1RSI editions. Not that much of a fan of the blued #1, but the 1S in '06 is interesting to me if they ever show up, the K1v 223 is sort of appealing in walnut as well.
