Some obviously really liked this reboot, https://hotair.com/archives/2018/03/28/roseanne-reboot-worth-wait-still-issues/?utm_source=hadaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl. I found the show a real disappointment. I just didn't find the writing up to what it used to be. It just seemed like a tired reboot, and this was just the first two episodes. Roseanne herself seemed tired and worn out, and while I know we all get older, John Goodman really looked old. The rest of the original cast showed their lack of acting skills. Overall I don't plan on watching future episodes. What did you think?

Love John Goodman.

Zero love for Rosea., but admire her kicking Jimmy Kimmel in his uber liberal gonads on his show recently.

Wasn't she the same woman who grabbed her crotch while singing the national anthem at a baseball game? If not, I apologize.

Yes.
And I never thought her show was watchable in the original series. :)

I think I watched exactly 1 episode of the original. Thought it was garbage then, see no reason it would be otherwise now.

Roseanne is a liberal POS, despite whatever her new character is portraying on a tv show, and I refuse to watch anything she's in.

Who writes this crap?

The link you posted, the author of that article is an idiot.. Spelling mistakes? Really? They write this article and they can't even spell?

Here's a snip of some of it..

The list goes on, but it almost felt as if they were hitting us with a sledgehammer when a few taps on the solider would have sufficed.

The word is "shoulder" you twit! NOT "solider".

I've gotten to the point I cannot even read drivel like this anymore because I refuse to break out a decoder ring to try to understand what these idiots are saying..

I'm not even highly educated, and can spell better than most of these idiots. :x

Guess I'll have to stray from the herd here. I used to enjoy the old series. Roseanne and Dan used to remind me of my sister-in-law and her husband, lots of similarities there, even their kids.
I did DVR the new episode, just haven't found the time to watch it yet. I don't put in much time in front of the tv these days, except for "Live P.D." on Friday and Saturday nights.

Rush Limbaugh today spoke about how this show had to have the approval of the top level of executives at ABC, and that they probably have been taking a lot of abuse over this from everyone that they know, since they almost all are Left wingers. It occurred to me that there might be more than meets the eye to a sitcom where the main character is a Trump supporter. My prediction is that after a few episodes they will have her start complaining about the things Trump is doing, or not doing, or how he does them, or something else about the President. Then at some point she will tell her sister that she wished she had voted for Hilary Clinton and will make sure she votes Democrat in the next election. That plan would explain how the initial premise of the show could get past the liberals that control the TV network. Maybe they are hoping that this character, as an iconic blue collar Midwesterner, who turns against Trump will convince real world voters to also turn to the Democrats in 2018 and 2020.

Just because someone agrees with you politically doesn't mean that you want to be their friend.

that was not the feeling I got from watching the new show...

I've always thought of her as just another version of Rosie O' Donnell. Never liked either one.

My daughter and I talked on the phone earlier and in closing she asked me if I'd seen the latest Roseanne. I didn't watch the original. I don't have cable or satellite so she got it on my computer. It was no Home Improvement, but it wasn't terrible either. She may be liberal, but she really is a Trump supporter.

When it came to trading barbs with her liberal sister, R got in the best digs. If you don't watch TV to get annoyed, this show isn't offensive as of the 1st 2 episodes.
