picked up a like new book today. Ruger Model 77 Bolt Action Rifles by Ronnie Burke. Book is stated 1st edition copyright 1983. It is a limited edition of 3000 copies. Any value to book?

Those books are desirable. I'm trying to remember if the 1st editions were leather bound or not. As to value,, I'd have to dig into my notes to remember.

I think they have surpassed $100 on ebay, but a more realistic value would probably be in the $45 to $75 neighborhood.

They are not leather; just leather looking. As Chet15 notes, I have also seen them go for over $100 on eBay. But, as he also notes, a more realistic price is in the $60 range. I happen to have an extra one for $60 shipped if someone is in need of a copy.

If you actually collect 77s it's invaluable and if I were getting ready to spend thousands for rifles then a $100 for the only reference book out there would be cheap.
