roa base pin

2nd quistion LOL ,have new used roa ,have gun apart the base pin is bent down ward right where the bottom notch in the shaft is . is this normal? p.s everything works fine when put back togather

mykeal ...thanks for the reply, just thought since the bend starts at the base pin screw notch, that it would make it weak and bend somemore, when loading balls . base pin is pretty tight when sliding into frame .Did just now notice that if bend was not there ,the ball loading plunger(right term?) would just be high enuff not to inter the chamber ,so maybe they adjusted it for that

I can tell you how it got that way 'cuz I did that once myself. Somone forgot to turn the screw to lock the base pin/loading lever before using it to load the gun!

+1 to what JNewell said, I did the same thing. Straightened the base pin out and it works fine as long as I remember to lock it in. Thought we were going to have to get a new one but the bent one has worked just dandy.
