RIP Major Charles Emerson Winchester III.

I first met Mr. Stiers when he played a part on Star Trek the Next Generation.. Was a very talented man that had a warm and great personality on set.. He loved to tell jokes in between takes.. Several years later, I again had the pleasure of working with him on the set of Stargate Atlantis, where he played the roll of a human form replicator.. I was actually slated to work with him the next season as I and three other people were supposed to be introduced as replicators, but they shut down the show before it happened..

He will be missed by many.. Was a great person to work with.. Rest In Peace Sir..

This is sad to me. I was in the Army when the TV show MASH first aired, and we kind've fantasized the TV show emulated my Army unit. The characters of the show were our hero's.

Many people don't know, but he was the conductor for the Newport (Or.) Symphony, a position that seemed to give him more pride than his position on MASH.

May he Rest in Peace.

I saw it last night where he had passed. He truly did do an excellent job of his part in MASH. While many may not remember him much beyond MASH,,, he did do other things which he also excelled at.

Another one gone, to be missed by those of us who appreciated the work.

May he RIP.
