rimfire ammo is getting cheaper

I broke down and bought 1000 rounds of CCI sub-sonic HP last night @ 10 cents/round delivered. Right or wrong, it won't be wasted. This stuff is scary accurate in my suppressed 22/45 and does a good job on varmints. It does actually expand a little more than RWS or Aguila sub-sonic HP which mostly just flatten the nose a bit.
I did pass on an offer for 17HMR V-Max since I'm still trying to use up the huge pile bought in advance of a 'forever postponed' prairie dog hunt.

Availability at the local level seems to be improving, also. Kind of nice to walk into a store and find 3 or 4 different 'flavors' to try out, just to see how they will shoot in a particular firearm!

Saw some Federal LRN for $0.07 per round the other day.

All those people saying it will never go back down are likely wrong.

Try bx of the CCI Standard Velocity in your suppressd 22's. Its all I shoot. Stays subsonic in all my pistols

Yes, I've tried SV. It does stay sub-sonic in a 4-6" pistol but not in a 16" rifle. Since I use both for varmint control, it's handy to use a single type of ammo. thanks
