I've just bought a Ruger Hawkeye in .233, lightweight barrel profile and synthetic stock (model 17129). I wish to replace the stock, probably with a Boyds laminate. While shopping for a possible M77 stock on eBay I found a vendor that mentioned the need to replace the trigger guard and well liner if changing to wood from polymer. Ebay is not what I would call authoritative, so until I can get ahold of Ruger (this is Saturday) any info out there?
