Repaired GP100

I recently sent my 4 inch GP100 in fro repair. The forcing cone had tool marks . I felt they were affecting accuracy. I received it back after 10 weeks and lots of e mails and phone calls. It looks and shoots great. My question is the barrel is marked with the usual Ruger markings but instead of Southport, CT it says Newport,NH. Is this usual ? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They put a new barrel on, and all new (Sept 07 on) Ruger handguns have the Newport address now.

Another variation for folks to go dizzy over and use to raise the prices of the Southport addressed guns in the future. The fun never ends. I'm not criticizing either, since I'll be pointing the address out on my guns too when they're for sale.

Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure if a repaired / replaced barrel created a new variant.
