I removed the rear sight from my M77 RSI (purchased 1991) to make room for a larger scope.
I'm looking for plug screws to fill the holes in the barrel.
I believe they have 8-36 thread.
Can anyone confirm this and where would a good place to buy on line as I don't have a gunsmith nearby?
Thanks

These but not 8-36, 8-40. Call Ruger they will confirm size and probably send you a couple.

I ordered these to fit an empty screw hole for the front sight on a MKIV, fit perfectly. Suppose you could try front sight screw from a MKX to see if it fits.

I called Ruger; the filler screw for a 10/22 will work (item number 60033) but they are out of stock

Confirmed the thread I need for my M77 is 8-36

Ruger says that 60033 is the same thing.

Try Ace hardware most have a section in nuts and bolts department for gun screws by thread size

I checked Ace Hardware and they do have a good selection of gun screws, just not the ones I'm looking for.
