I wish to remove the entire front sight from my SRH.
Can I do this?
How can I do this?
What do I need so not to hurt the gun or myself?

thank you,
MJO

All SRH models have quick-change front sights. The sights can be removed by using a 1/8 punch or other tool to push the sight plunger in against the spring tension. Once the plunger releases, lift the rear of the sight to remove it.
Ty- I believe the Blackhawk sights are silver soldered onto the guns

Ok, I was in a hurry to help. But isn't it silver soldered ? Where you can heat it up an melt the solder . Of course being carefull just how hot you get the barrel..

You could just cut the barrel off right behind the front sight assembly ;-)

With my SRH, I had my gunsmith make a front sight to my taste that fit the existing mounting system ........

....... for my purposes, I would not dream of removing it .......
