FWIW the precvious owner says that with the rounded butt, 4 port magna porting, and the 7.5 inch barrel he found this gun to be a soft kicking 500L... :roll:

I have one of John's .500's. It's always soft recoil unless I go to 400gr @ 1400 fps. Then I duck.

The grips are fine and photograph well... What you are seeing is the standard character in buffalo horn... This is my first set... They look good don't they!

What is the street value of a custom 7.5" SA, chambered in a calibre that the average person has never heard of, or maybe not even be able to pronounce? Glad you got your little friend back, very nice.
