Stopped by a friends place today to look at a couple of older S&W revolvers he picked up and he brought out his Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag he bought new back in the 80's. Now he says he hasn't shot it a lot over the years but that thing had a real smooth trigger in single and double action rivaling the Smiths he has. This one had the 7.5 inch barrel I think and he really enjoyed shooting it with some of my light .44 Mag reloads which were 9.5 gr. Unique under a 240 gr. Xtreme bullet.
I brought along my long barreled SBH to enjoy the fun too.

So how do the new Redhawks compare in trigger feel from those who have old and new?
To me it felt lighter than my new Alaskan.

I only have one, a 41 mag Redhawk, 1988 production. It has a 6 lb 7 oz single action trigger pull (very smooth) and a 9 lb 9 oz double action trigger pull. Maybe others can post their trigger pulls if they have measured them. BTW, Redhawk production started in 1980 and Super Redhawk in 1987.....

For comparison, my 1976 41 mag BH has a 4 lb 7 oz trigger pull and my 1978 44 mag SBH measures 4 lb 11 oz.
