Talking about the cost of rechambering 'evening' things up I'm assuming you are talking about the 5.5" or 7.5" versions. Even then, rechambering isn't that cheap. You're looking at the cost of the cylinder work and the barrel reboring and remarking. I'd say you'll be in the neighborhood of $500-600 for this, give or take. Those .45's can run a premium now, but not THAT much over the .44's. They are scarce, though....
I believe there is still a 5.5" .45 on Gunbroker at the moment.
