Just had to post this guys since I'm happy as a pig in s- - t! My Son gave me primers for Christmas! A brick of CCI Small Pistol Primers, and a brick of Federal Small Rifle Primers. He claimed he paid MSRP and not some exhorbitant price like 75.00/100.00/brick. Found out he's a good friend of the son of a owner of af a large gun store. First primers I've seen in my area for over a year. Nice to know I have a Son who knows people!

Good for you (and him). I went to a gun show in Anchorage last weekend and a guy was selling bricks of primers for $100 each - and he sold them all. I think I'll chunk rocks before I pay thatl

I bought some 4 months ago for $50. It was a small shipment my reloading store got. Now he's got $65-80 on them but hasn't received any in months. https://www.phillipswholesale.com/shot---primers.html
I've got a 3lb coffee can full of used primers - I haven't saved them all I did dump the can a couple times. I bought some of this stuff to mix up and try some rebuilt primers. I do have 18,000+ still to use up first though. https://22lrreloader.com/products/prime-all-repriming-compound It just seemed safer than mixing up fulminate of mercury in the kitchen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury(II)_fulminate

Unfortunately, it's episodes like this that lend credence to the current "ya gotta know somebody" to get stuff for a reasonable price. Makes the dealers look bad.
