I'm having Ronnie Wells build me a heavy 45 Colt and a 500 Linebaugh in his John Linebaugh tribute series. Need a 50th Flattop for a donor for one of them. The gun needs to have:

1) Serial number stamped 0.030", or more, below the bottom of the cylinder window, which is about the thickness of an average credit card.

2) Perfectly fitted loading gate. Front face of the gate must line up perfectly with the frame,

3) Ears on back of frame, that mate to grip frame, need to be reasonably high, and symmetric to each other.

4) A rear sight that is close to flush with the top strap would be nice, but I've yet to come across one that is not proud, and I've looked at a few hundred on-line over the years. Not a deal breaker.

5) Nice transitional dimensions where the ejector rod housing meets the frame.

6) Not over polished. I like relatively sharp edges, not rolled-over edges.

7) No dished frame pin holes.

While I am willing to buy a whole gun, the fact is that I really only need a frame, rear sight, fitted loading gate, frame cross pins, and maybe an ERH, as Ronnie will be installing his own custom made parts for everything else. I have a while to look around, and be picky, as it will be a while before my number comes up on Ronnie's list. Thank a for your time.
