Ever since I got hurt a couple years back I have been having to learn how to do things differently than I once did them, and fishing is no different. Since I am left handed and it was my left elbow and arm that was messed up fishing at first was almost impossible, that was until I found a device called the Strikefighter. This allows you to have a holder, a tube that holds the rod while you use your good hand to reel in. I had to learn to cast with my right hand which took some doing. I had practiced with it before and last year I caught a couple small bluegills but nothing much. So far this year I have caught some small or decent size fish like perch and some sunfish but little else, until today. Today in addition to Memorial Day was my wife's birthday and she loves to fish so I got her fishing license and we went out this morning and I caught a couple little fish, so this afternoon we went out again and I finally put the Strikefighter to the test when I landed this nice rainbow trout, about 14 1/2 inches long, the biggest fish I have caught so far since I got hurt. The wife was happy that I caught fish and even happier that we all got to go out on such a nice day. It just proves again that where there is a will, there is a way. Now for a way to hunt better come this fall!
